Swingers – Washington DC

Despite COVID, national lockdowns and travel restrictions, we delivered 2 nine hole crazy golf courses for Swingers US.
Their new Washington based venue opened in June 2021 and we are pleased to be able to share these pictures of our completed work.
With well over 10,000 hours of workshop time and 550 individual components, we transported 3 x 40ft shipping containers, 6 automated obstacles and 1 x 25ft clocktower from our workshop over the Atlantic.
We are excited to already be working on their new NYC venue and watch this space for more photos of our work with Swingers London in their West End and City venues.

Griff – The BRIT Awards 2021

The BRITS was part of the Government’s scientific Events Research Programme and has played an important role in paving the way for the return of live music after the past year’s restrictions.

We constructed the timber heart shaped set for the 2021 BRITS Rising Star winner Griff and were honoured to be asked to take part in the first live music event at the O2 for 15 months.

Dr Who – Time Fracture

We are excited to be able to share some preview pictures of one our latest immersive set builds.
Constructed in our workshop over the last few months, we have transformed over 25,000 square foot of central London into 17 different themed worlds from six decades of Doctor Who.

Secret Cinema – Casino Royale

Another amazing project working with Secret Cinema, this time we built and constructed the entire Bond set in a large warehouse in East London.

Recreating iconic sets of Casino Royale including Venice, Miami Airport, Madagascar Market and the casino with our team was a great experience, The Independent said ‘Some of the sets used in its latest production, Secret Cinema presents Casino Royale, look like they’ve been air-lifted straight over from Pinewood Studios‘.

UCLH – Rainbow #weareyourNHS

We were very proud to have produced this voluntary installation for the NHS at University College London Hospital,  donating our time and materials to such a great cause so close to all our hearts! Working with Early Hours Ltd, we designed, produced and installed this display in a couple of days.

The group of leading London hospitals wanted to respond to the public’s incredible support during the global Covid-19 pandemic with their own rainbow symbol of thanks and reassurance as they continue to provide care for all patients.

We hope that it can bring a tiny touch of joy and raise morale amongst the staff, patients and public and judging by the feedback on social media this has!

Fashion Awards 2019 – Royal Albert Hall

We were grateful to be involved again with Done and Dusted and to provide the set for the London Fashion Awards 2019 at The Royal Albert Hall.

This years stage design by Stufish was a black and white theme celebrating new creatives alongside some of the biggest names in fashion.

This event saw our team install over 150m of elliptical catwalk circling the entire Royal Albert Hall in just 10 hours.

Duchess of Malfi – Almeida Theatre

This set consisted of a high gloss black herringbone floor with a glass fronted truck unit moving on a motorised winch system.

Rather than using real tiles, we CNC cut MDF sheets and gave it a gloss spray finish to give a ceramic look.

West Side Story – Leicester Curve

Illusion had the pleasure of building the set for Leicester Curve’s production of West Side Story.

It involved an 8m tall winched truck and poly-carved rubbish pile.
